Carnival Night Zone
Vs. Boss - Graviton Mobile

Ms. ~HappyAggro I give you the official return of the OHSHI- face. Run, Sonic, ruuuuun!

Anywho, Sonic faces this unexplainable force of nature before being launched into the snowy peaks of Angel Island.

Production Notes:
-After the slew of recent pictures with difficult perspectives, I just wanted to do something simple. At least the lighting makes it interesting.

Concept - Sonic Team
Piece - *Hazard-the-Porgoyle

Uh oh gotta go fast.

Sonic expression is so entertaining to be worried for his own safety but nice effect on that.

Indeed he is. I'm planning to create a piece not too dissimilar to this one (Sonic-wise) in the near future, hopefully with equally as funny results.

Woah :faint: this is one amazing picture.

I believe you did this well espicially the contrast between the light and the dark. I like how you worked with the spheres, which, in my guess, must have been pretty hard as it has a strange way to reflect light and all. Nevertheless, I do believe you pulled it off great. I also like the background, despite the fact its simplicity.

The spheres were probably the easiest part of all this, actually. I merely made vector (non-pixelated) versions of the spheres, and blurred the shines until I had the above result.

Thanks for the comment.

I like this alot! It's cool to see you switching things up a bit (although I haven't looked extremely far back in your archives). Your efforts to keep in line with the games have resulted in a relatively subdued hedgehog. Which is fine for what you usually do, but I believe hand-drawn Sonic is at his best brimming with personality.

As someone else mentioned, it does look like he's dragging his back foot. If we're going to assume he's being pulled backwards it could probably be better expressed in his animation.

And while arguably not a flaw, at a glance it looks a bit like all four laster-electric-magnet thingies are placed behind the green ball. If part of the front-most laser was to be conveniently placed just another centimeter to the right it would cement the perspective without having to look up at the origin of the laser.

That's me trying -really- hard to find something to nag here.

Actually, I see what you mean about Sonic missing his trademark attitude. That is something to think about.

Since the foot has received so much attention, I'll make an edit on that.

The lightning - The front most bolt does have glow on top of the ball, and I think that shows the layering well enough.

Thanks for the critique.

That's really nice, I actually handclapped when I saw this.

My favorite thing about this image would have to be Sonic's expression, it's just so priceless and is my favorite drawing of Sonic himself by you, I think.

Great job playing with the lights and darks in this image. Robotnik's really got this serious face on.

From the high-voltage static to the reflective finish on the metallic components of Egghead's machine to the seemingly-natural lighting & shadowing, this is by far one of your best detailed deviations yet. Fan-freakin'-tabulous job. B-)

Awesome job man... But isn't Sonic is a little low to be taking a stride? None the less, it's still epix :3

Low? Well, I suppose you have a point. In this case, maybe the intense pulling force involved is dragging Sonic to the ground mid stride. In the future, I'll pay closer attention to that.

Sonic turned the lights on, but granted Eggman's using the Über Lightning Generator (patent pending), so it's going to make the surrounding area seem dark.

I love the "Oh Shi-!" face you gave Sonic, he looks so adorable but mostly I love the nice touch you gave on the scenery, almost like an official design for it =3.
